Tips to build a good blog

Anyone can develop a blog that is better and may be the best! To develop or to make a good blog you must first focus on the structure of the blog. Of course the main part relies with offering great content. A good blogger should also concern with the routine update of the blog. Remember, although getting good traffic is extremely important, careful consideration must be given to getting frequent visitors to your site as well! Without these visitors you have no chance of developing the loyalty of your blog.

Here are 6 simple strategies to increase the exposure of any great content you post on your blog and to build a great number of loyal followers!

Use some strategies in using the Keywords:

When you are posting something new on your blog you have to be very much careful in choosing and using your keywords! Although great content is something that readers find useful or entertaining, you also have to attract the search engines to get some traffic!  Careful use of keywords will help make it easier for search engines to find and show up your posts on the first page of the search engines and there by your blog. Be cautious of the placement of these words and how frequently they are used! Don’t use the keyword more often and keep using new and different keywords related to your post. Meta tags are more important for any blog to get detected or found by the search engines.

Use Widgets sparingly:

One thing a good blogger should recognize is the value of usage of widgets that makes their blog look more efficient, beautiful and worthy! However it is essential and recommended to use limited number of widgets as the loading time of your blog may get effected. Some of these widgets may often require to be updated and may even disrupt the operation and the good visuality of your blog! A good selection and use of the widgets that are handy is needed. You must avoid the temptation of overloading your blog with more number of widgets since this can create more problems.

Update your blog regularly:

If you really want to increase the number of visitors to your blog you must give them a reason to do so! Viewers land on your site through the search engines primarily to view the information you offer about a particular issue or anything else. Therefore if you offer fresh, new, interesting and useful content people have a reason to come back and visit your blog more often. A blogger must be very responsible in updating the blog by posting consistently.

Use of social networking:

As mentioned earlier, driving traffic to your blog is more important to make it the best. I recommend the use of social networking sites to increase the traffic. Whenever you make a post share it on your networking sites like face book, twitter. Participating in group discussions and other issues on the internet like groups, hubs and forums.

Use of Advertisements Conservatively:

People visit your blog to view great content you provide and not to view your ads. Many bloggers are intent on making money from their blog. However having too many ads may distract the readers which can lead to decreasing the amount of frequent visitors you may get! Go easy on the ads and focus more on simply putting great content on you blog for the readers to enjoy!

Accept all types of comments happily:

Always allow the readers to leave their comments when they visit your posts or your blog. Blogs are actually meant to be highly focused and every blogger should recognize the value of allowing their readers to interact. Not only does this help create a stronger sense of community but comments are also a good source for new writing ideas! Using reader comments helps many bloggers in building more traffic through the referrals of satisfied readers.

These 6 tips offered here are easy to implement and are very standard practices adopted by every good blogger you found online. Ultimately getting more traffic and building a great number of loyal followers is what you need to strive for to be a successful blogger!

How to change title tags in blogger

We certainly hope that this SEO tip we’re about to give you can definitely go a long way in getting you more – and more relevant – search engine traffic.
What are title tags?

To put it simply, title tags are the document titles required in all HTML/ XHTML documents. The term “documents” includes your website or blog. Ideally, your title tags will be used to help identify the contents of the pages of your website or blog.
The HTML code that defines the title of your HTML documents follows a certain format. Let’s take my blog –http://techpro365.blogspot.in/– as an example.
<head>
<title>Techpro365 Blog | Blogger tips and tricks | SEO | Widgets | Blogger tutorials </title>
</head>

Where can I see the title tags?

Title tags – or the titles of the pages of your website or blog – can be found in:
1. The title in your browser toolbar.
2. The title for the linked page in search engine search results.
3. The title of the bookmark / favourite when the page is added to bookmarks / favourites
So why are title tags important?

Title tags are essential in SEO because they help search engines determine the relevancy of your Web pages for certain keywords and search phrases.
However, a number of publishing platforms, content management systems, and blogging platforms don’t necessarily optimize your title tags for you. And that’s where this quick SEO tip comes in: to help you– edit your title tags dynamically and get found more easily in Internet users’ search queries.
Change Title Tags in Blogger

Go to the Design tab of your Blogger Dashboard. Then, under the Design tab, go to the Edit HTML tab.
Look for this piece of code in your HTML template:
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

If you can’t find it, just press CTRL + F and paste the code on the search box to find it.
Replace the code with:
<b:if cond=’data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;’>
<title><data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageName/>  | <data:blog.title/></title>
</b:if>

Click “Save Template” and you’re done!
Other SEO tips on title tags:

1. Apart from the actual post name and blog name, it might be useful to add relevant keywords to your title tag, too. Of course, this means doing your keyword research in advance.

2. Don’t keyword-spam your title tags, though. Try to limit yourself to 70 characters. Longer titles may be cropped by search engines as the results appear in search.

3. Always check your spellings. A small type error may be all that’s stopping you from achieving great things with your title tags.

Overview: You will add an "HTML/Java Script" gadget to your sidebar, and these instructions will take you through writing the HTML code. The idea is to link publicly available images of social media icons.

Post the code onto your blog.

Code:

<a href='mailto:your@email.com' target='_blank'><img alt='email' src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4T5SDOCCn8VVilve9K974sD8WHA1FepepkYo_oK3meWK4B5TCdcYeCexMlHsGC6gbz6ip1dX7NGOshMEkrMHbbEXKa0sj2b9MB5e1LRHoBnSp-7CEVULFt6u7abb-ytWYmFKskmlkjyE/s1600/email.png" title='email'/></a>

·                     In Blogger, go to Layout --> Add a Gadget. I recommend placing the gadget in the upper part of your sidebar.

·                     Find and select the HTML/Java Script gadget.

·                     Paste your code into the Content box. You can leave the title blank, or you can add a title you want to say about your icons. I think most people understand what the icons mean, so I don't prefer to use a title.

·                     Save and you're done. And check to see whether the links are working or not.

 Note:

Don't forget to edit your web url of the social media sites in the above code.
Example:
<a href='http://twitter.com/' target='_blank'>  replaced by

<a href='your profile page' target='_blank'>

Let me know if you have any questions or issues with these instructions by contacting me or through a comment. Thanks!

How to make a contact page in blogger

Do you want to make a contact page for your blog so that they can contact you personally regarding any issues or queries. It also makes the user not to leave the website to send an e-mail to you.

After reading this post i assure you that you will have a contact page of your own. Let's move forward and create a contact page or form in blogger using Google drive .

Step 1: Create the Contact Form

·                     Go to Google Docs --> Create ---> Form. You will get this screen:

·                     Give your form a name, like "Contact Me" or "Contact us."

·                     Create questions, which will be the fields in the form. The three basic questions I used are: Name, Email, and Comments. Choose from the drop down menu the type of comment each question requires: Name and Email use "text" comments, and Comments are "paragraph text." You can choose which questions are mandatory.

·                     Preview the form by clicking the link at the bottom.

Step 2: Get the html code. After you are satisfied, save and go to More Actions --> Embed.  Google will give you an html code to copy. Mine looks like this:

Step 3: Create Your Contact Page on Blogger
·                     Go to your "Contact Me" page (or create one(go to pages-->New page)) on your blog. (Go to Posting --> Edit Pages). Open the "Edit HTML" tab and paste the code from Google Docs.

·                     Preview how it will look on your blog. In the code, you will see that Google Docs sets it at width="760." Fiddle with the number until the form fits within your page width.

·                     Publish it.After publishing My contact form looks like this:

Step 4: Make Sure You are Notified When Someone Uses the Form
When someone fills out the contact form, the information will go into the spreadsheet on your Google Docs form. Turn on email notification:
·                     Go back to Google Docs and click on your form. A spreadsheet will open. Click Tools --> Notification Rules.

·                     Check the box "a user submits a form" and "email-right away." Save.
That's it.  Go ahead and test it by sending yourself a comment. (P.S. Test your own form)
